help with fortuna & TTN2 GPS is unreliable?

Can u help?


After failing to get road angel to work with the holux cable i got fed up and bought the Fortuna GPS bluetooth.

It all connects ok and under GPS v 2.08 i can see 5 satellited and lots of data.

However when i go ti navigator menu it says GPS is unreliable route will be calculated when GPS reliable. However the display in bottom right shows 4/ 5 satellites.


Any help? advice

Having four to five satellites isn't enough - for a good 3D fix you need at least four. For a longer time, that is. So your five sats better have a good SNR (signal to noise ratio) of above 36dB for a longer time. In TomTom speak this means you better get four or more red bars - do you see those, or are they just grey?

(the initial fix and download of almanac and ephemeris data can take well above 20 minutes, so be patient, at least for a while)
