How can you tell on the i3 device which version of the speed cameras' database has been loaded (like on a PC you can go into "about whatever application" and it tells you the version that exists on your device?
Secondly, I assume that downloading the most recent version overwrites the previous version? If yes is this done through the POI Loader?
Sorry if this has been covered though I have read other posts and cannot see that it has. Forums are great but they can be ponderous to track previous queries. The suggestion for a stand-alone FAQs area seems a good idea. |

Well using those semantics, you can't - unless you could be sure of a camera that was in a particular months update, but not in another - or vice versa.
It's not an application that's loaded, it's merely some data files, that POIloaded converges and overwrites any user-defined POIs that are currently loaded
But on the device, they are just POIs, so it would have to be some means of data verification, rather than anything else.

To be pedantically correct, it's not the download that overwrites anything, it's the actions of POIloader that does. |

Also note that using POILoader to load a new database wipes all POIs before it loads the data. So if you have POIs for Asda, Speed Camera Jan 06 and Tesco. When you want to update to Speed Camera Feb 06 you need to upload all 3 POIs again. |
