Ive just upgraded my files to 5.44 and all seemed well, well the speed camera files didnt show on the directory but did on the tomtom screen. scrolled about on the screen to see if there was any changes then (full battery) it just turned itself off and nothing since. I have tried a reset and nothing seems to happen.

Any ideas or is this a case of sending it back to the useless tomtom lot?

Hi smstextaddict,

I have had a similar problem with my TomTOM GO300, when starting the car, my GO would just turn itself off and would not turn on. I found that removing the SD card doing a reset and leaving the GO for some time life would come back!

I would also try charging it up again, I hope this of some help.

Hi,

My TomTom GO 300 had refused to turn on, or should I say turned on and gne off I think two or three times, but thankfully it has always come back to life.

Glad yours is now back working.

Hi Andy,

Nope I have a 1Gig card, only one voice and the speed camera files are the only extra bits.

For some strange reason I think when starting the car the TomTom Battery was drained, when it had time to recover all was well! My reasons for thinking this is TomTom came on ok, as soon as I turned the engin over the TomTom went off and would not come back for some time, (battery recovered)?

"We recommend this update if the version number of the application on your TomTom GO is lower than version 5.440. This update cannot be used with TomTom ONE and TomTom RIDER."
