Boys & Girls
I see that an Australian map is available to download, at 199 Euros it's a bit steep.
Has anyone seen this map, is it current, and is it compatible with my classic Go...
Thanks

Hi, I live in Oz and have an Australian purchased TomTom.

For the most part the maps seem to be ok. Certainly have done a bit of driving around melbourne and they seem acceptable but there's always the occasional glitch particularly given that road works are always going on in this country.

Oz maps are produced by 'sensis' (well that's what it says on the box !)

As a Melburnian i can say that nix is spot on.
I got a Jag from Hertz with satnav, just as well i know Melbourne very well, the Jag system was pants.
The TomTom maps hold up in the cities which is really the only place you need them, driving in the back blocks is a doodle with usually one road in and one road out, that said even outback the signs are very good.
$199 for the maps, personally i reckon Melways, Sydways or thw UBD books are fine for a visitor.
