I just purchased a Navman 520, and the maps are 2-3 years out of date! There are streets missing in my suburb that are on all the online mapping sites, anyone know of any map updates for the UK?

Well, firstly check which version of the SmartST software you have. If you have SmartST2005 then you are up to date. If not go to the Navman web site and see 'Maps' and you can buy the latest maps and software for £99 - that includes the full European maps.

However, note that there is an inevitable delay in producing maps by TeleAtlas, who provide the mapping for Navman, so it is possible that parts of the mapping are going to be up to two years old. Rolling Eyes

If you search through this forum, you should find quite a lot on this subject (age of mapping & updating the software) Wink

The iCN520 never shipped with anything other than SmartST2005.

Hi Coda:

The Service Packs are released to fix software issues, but never include map updates to my knowledge.

I do not believe there have been any such map updates since the release of Smart ST2005, except for an update inluding maps to bring the older Smart ST version 3 up to 2005 for use on ICN510 etc.

The map udates, when released are normally not free.
