Seems to be a general mapping problem with satnav systems cos my pda with tomtom 5 has tried to make me go down no entry one way streets the wrong way Rolling Eyes and these streets have been one way for years and years!!

I'll try my garmin i3 out soon see if it tries the same.

This is a universal problem wih all GPS systems even the more expensive ones. It gets better as maps are updated but I think that it will never disappear completely. With the i3 it is really easy. Just ignore its instructions and it will recalculate almost instantly.

I have found the Navteq maps to be perfect in my home city of Sheffield, which does have a complex one way system. The trouble with sat nav maps is that it can take a long time for updates to reach units, I would estimate 18 months for agreed updates.

You can report any mapping errors on the navteq.com website, I got a response within a few weeks(many car parks were not listed and the one it routed me to had new flats under construction). Unfortunately I wont see those updates until mapsource V9 at least. V8 is just out.
