You lot make me laugh! I bet most of you that has commented on this, have got illegal music CDs MP3's DVD's etc sitting in your car and house as I speak! but you just like to arss lick the moderators, get real!!!! People post stuff like MS office 2003 on BT site which is worth over £500. And as for posting fake files, that will soon be sussed out, if you know where to look.

Actually I pay for my music, I'm not a leech nor am I a thief.

I just don't get this. A 2002 M3 costs about £20k. I paid £28k for my car. Whats price got to do with anything? As Darren alluded too - whats next? Comparing Dad's? Number of wives? Number of MDK's? Oh where will it end .. the competition .. its so fierce.

I should hope so, to not to so would be stupid, which I don't think you are. Mislead and misguided (in terms of car ownership asperation and in terms of what should be free and what should not), maybe, but not stupid.

Why should people pay for something that they contribute to???? Without them you wouldn't have a database!!!!

You've never contributed it to it, you're just a leech who uses it without making any effort to contribute.

I did not ban your original account but as registering under multiple ID's is against our rules I have deleted your second persona.

I'll quite happily admit to having a few pirate CD's that I've copied off of someone. Technically, even recording them onto tape or copying onto your MP3 player is illegal. The vast quantity of my music collection though (i.e. 99%) is purchased, either physically or via a legal download.

The difference is, PocketGPS don't make billions in profit every year, whereas the music companies price-fix their products in a cartel and give very little back to the artist.

When PocketGPS start charging £15 for it when it costs them about £0.01 to make, and start suing 12-year old girls for downloading it illegally, they'll lose my support.

Until then, I'm supporting the little guy who is providing us with a useful and fairly-prived service.

But anyway; I've got a bigger willy than you, so I'm better.

Its not. As long as you have the original media then you are allowed to make copies for your own personal use. You are not allowed to make copies and sell them.

Hi MR_WHITE,

Oh dear, things always go downhill when somebody makes this kind of statement. So what if you drive, what is currently, a four year old car? What car do you own?

Also it very much sounds like you’re using the car that you drive as an extension. I hope that you are not. However you will get replies like:

nej wrote:

Now normally I wouldn’t like the above comment, however it does prove my point. Also I make no apologies, that in the context of this thread, it’s funny. However should you want to have a competition with nej then please do it in private, as I have no wish to know the answer! Smile

By the way, I drive (and own) a 1995 Land Rover, which is comfortable, gets me from A to B as quickly as the speed limits and road conditions allow, and finally should any idiot make a mistake whilst driving their car and hit me, then my passengers and I have a reasonable chance of getting out of the vehicle in one piece.

Regards,

I disagree. Although it is only £2 per month, the possibility of getting a free subscription motivates users to report errors on the database. I certainly know it does me, if it remained free I would probably take the view that I can't be bothered to record and submit errors - let others do it. I think it's a very wise move.
