I am a newbie to the forums, but have spent the last couple of hours searching for a solution to this problem, but cant find one, please frgive me if it has come up before!
I have a dell axim x5 (400, 64) running 2003.
I use TomTom all the time, but only have version 1.4.1.
I have been trying to get checkpoint to work, or anything infact, to be able to view speedcams on the mapping system.
I have followed all the instructions, tried different versions.
I have POIedit on my desktop, it shows the POI files I have downloaded, although only with Dutch maps!
I do not seem to be able to get Tom Tom to show the POIs in the file-properties-POI dialogue box.
And when I access the dialogues, the dell seems to get into a loop, I cant shut the dialogue, remove the onscreen keyboard, or anything else and a soft reset is required.
I can access the start menu, if I start TomTom or Checkpoint and go into the menus when I try to access anything on it, I get booted back to the dialogue - again a soft reset sorts it out.
I have tried to copy the ov2 files directly into the map directory, but dont seem to be able to find directories as described in these forums.
Any help gratefully received.
