The first time I turn on my Go, it's slow to find satellites, sometimes up to 30 minutes. Once it has a good lock, it's fine the rest of the day. This includes turning on/off, removing from the car, etc. The next day, same thing. I've driven to a destination 12 miles away without ever getting a lock.

When I first got it, I got a lock in seconds every time. I've updated, then restored the original (downdated?) firmware, but otherwise haven't changed anything. Is this normal? Are there settings I have wrong? Thanks.

Hi There,

Just a thought.....

Have you changed your car recently or changed where you put your mount?

The location of your TT in the car can make a big difference.

My wifes Laguna (Radio ariel in the windscreen) is a pain in the backside for getting a sat lock I have to use an external antenna.

Hope this helps....

Thanks for the response. I haven't changed the position. I did notice the disclaimer when I turned it on. Maybe I reset it by mistake when it was hooked up to my computer.

I posted this after it happened 3 straight days. Sure enough, the next time I got in the car, I got an immediate lock. Hopefully it was just one of those things or the result of a reset.

Each time you dis-connect from the PC, or re-insert the SD Card, the TT's do a Reset. ;)
