I have a Tungsten T5 running TomTom Navigator 5 version 4.301. Can anyone tell me how to update the firmware so that I can use real voices for speed camera warnings.   |

The Tungsten is a Palm device isn't it? You dont need to update the firmware. Try Ray Flanagan's site http://www.tomtomsatnav.info/realvoice.html. He has voice skins for this including ones for Palm OS PPC and Smartphones

Yes the PDA is a Palm and TomTom is running on a SD card. I have looked on Rays website but can't seem to find real voice files for V4.301.
Can anyone help? |

You are right. Only way may to upgrade the version of TT.

It seems that you should be able to use customised voices on your version:

This lists as early as 4.3 (though you might as well upgrade to 4.42 since it costs you nothing and may provide some extra functionality...I can't recall what 4.40 and 4.42 brought in but I think there were some goodies in there).
Make your choice, upgrade or not, then download the appropriate file and try it.

I thought minimum required version for T5 was version 4.42.
But you can update to version 5.201 here:

I have now upgraded TT to v5.201 (5344) but it now appears that there are no real voices available for this version. |
