Hi, I am trying to get TT5 working on a Mini XDA-s, using a BT-77 GPS. There are many guides around to get this working on a JASJAR and I-Mate, but not XDA-Mini s. I have edited the Regiestry so it shows the GPS control panel. Does the control panel overide the settings within the Bluetooth setup.... I am totaly lost.... Any one got this working, please help.

Welcome to the forums. Please do not quadruple-post.

The GPS control panel is not required, it is rather a hindrance.

1. discover the BT device from your PDA Comms Manager and pair the two
2. create a new outgoing port, without encryption. Use COM0 or whatever other port is available
3. In TomTom specify "Other BT device" and the port from step 2.

I tried that. The problem I have is that I only get the option to set com6 or com7 within the Bluetooth manager settings, TTN5 does't give me the option for COM6 or COM7. And the Serial Port has no number at all.

Go to the bluetooth settings. Click on the Devices tab (near the bottom) then click new partnership. Click on the BT GPS link, then enter 0000 as the passkey.

Then click the COM ports tab. Click new incoming port and set it as COM7, uncheck the secure connection box and click finish.

Then click new outgoing port and click next then click BT GPS, then set it as COM6, once again uncheck the secure connection box and click finish.

Load tomtom up, go to prefrences and find GPS status (or something like that) and click configure. Go to Other bluetooth device then click COM7.

That should be ok. If it doesnt work swap the com ports (so com6 is com7 and vice versa)

I really hope that helps you

This step is not required. GPS connections only use the Outgoing port.

It never will with your WM5 device. You need to install Tomtom Mobile 5.2.

Of course that should read Tomtom Navigator 5.2.
Still jet lagged.

Wish I could edit.

I upgraded to 5.210, GPS DRIVER IS v1.20. It still doesn't give me Com 6 or Com 7. I have never ever had a problem with TTN2, or TTN3, but I have also never tried to use WM5. If this isn't going to work, can anyone suggest an alternate navigaion s/ware that will work on an XDA with WM5.

This seems to be the usual case after persisting with version 5.0. If the GPS config still will not offer com 6, then the device needs to be completely turned off (possibly to empty cache). Worse case a hard reset is needed.

Your problem has been covered here http://www.pocketgpsworld.com/modules.php?name=Forums&file=viewtopic&t=36100
