Still haven't got mine, 7 days later but I'm assured it will be returned in next 48 hours.

They definitely recieved mine using the 2 line freepost address. Their lab is at the same address as Garmin Europe so they can easily deal with your enquiry.

Hi All. Do you have to phone Garmin to arrange with them that you are sending your card, or just post to the previously mentioned address (freepost).
I am still a little unsure about just posting it of in to the unknown Confused

I just posted mine,no prior arrangement.I sent it special delivery to make sure it got there, guaranteed next day. Also trackable online using post office referance number you get.I had my doubts too,but am glad i did it now.All in all a good turnaround, considering the demand they must be getting.

Do we need to mention anything specific on the letter we send with it?

No need for anything Big R. Afterward i thought i should of enclosed a note but i didnt. Just send the card (wraped in some paper with "card in here" written on it) and an envelope with my name/address on it.

Dont worry bout a stamp on your return envelope thay sort that.

Send off and enjoy

I addressed the envelope to:
i3 update
Freepost GARMIN

The man at the post office refused to accept it at first as it did not have a post code.
After my insistance and a lengthy phone call to his head office he accepted it reluctantly.

I have tracked it and it was delivered today fron their Romsay office.
This is no where near Nottingham, as mentioned in previous posts.
I am keeping my fingers crossed.

Romsey, however, is the location of Garmin (Europe) Ltd. so I suspect Garmin now have the unit, although they might well need to send it on to Nottingham before you get your card back. I wouldn't worry, but it might add a day or two onto the 4 day turnaround time.

In case anyone else gets any problems with ignorant Post Office workers then you might want to print this...

Freepost NAME is the simplest form of return address: Freepost and your company's name in capital letters, for example, Freepost SMITHSON'S. This can be pre-printed by you but is normally handwritten by customers, on an envelope or card.
