PARIS MAPS... HELP REQUIRED

So do you now have 2 maps on your card? If so, did you 'Switch Maps' to change to the Paris map. (I'm thinking you may still be inadvertently in the GB Plus map.) Maybe try navigating to an address that you know is on a small street.

Yeah unfortuantly it is not a Cross Border map meaning that you will have to use the "Switch Map" screen and select Paris from the list. It will ask you to activite it then if you havent already.

I made a POI file of all the entry points on the Paris Map so I can see when I was coming in and out of its coverage while on the Plus Map.

Hi there...

Yes i got it working in the end up... had to activate it and switch maps... i didnt realise it was going to be a seperate map but its not hard to switch..

"Unplugged" you created a POI so you was alerted when you was on the edge of the City.. Think i will do that tonight... unless you want to mail me a copy of the POI!! Laughing Out Loud

Thanks to all of you for your help i have got there in the end and running good./.....

HOWEVER....

my next question is does any one have a lot of POI for france/ Paris... Ie Holiday INN hotels... Euro Disney... Theme Parks... out of town Shopping Centres...

if any of you would like to share or advise where i can get these it would be brilliant!! ..

No all the POIs are in the POI.DAT file which on the MOWE or 0bytes you need to make one for france or just download POI categories by downloading them.

My sat Nav is at work I dont have it to hand to copy it off Sad

Just another question.... (where is it going to stop!!)

I downloaded some POI for FRANCEand added them to the GB PLUS file as stated in the instructions for the POI but ever time on place them in the folder these will show but when i remove and then put the SD card back in the PC these are gone!!

i have tried it with the USB lead and it does the same!!!

do i need POI.Dat file as above?? I have a POI file in GB Plus??
