Can a TOM TOM 300 be upgraded to a TOM TOM 500 - via Softweare and add a Mic somehow??

Not sure how you can add a bluetooth trnsmitter using only software?.

What exactly are you trying to achieve? the hands free facilty? My 300 does it already??

| i've seen people ask similar questions but to upgrade a 300 to a 700. Unfortunately, with both, I believe the answer is no. |

Yeah... im trying to get the hands free option to work on the GO 300 -- as the the GO 500 and GO 700 do this..
"NavEx" you say your GO300 already does this?? have you made some changes to it?? THey have bluetooth only for wireless internet connection for downlaods... |

The 300 does not have BT handsfree, it has the facility to connect to PLUS via a compatible handset but cannot use the handset for voice calls.
It is not possible to upgrade the 300 to permit this facility.

Yeah Bluetooth is used for traffic & weather and any downloads etc...
That why i thought it could be a software update!! |

also ya tom tom dosent have a microphone on the 700 does
who ever said their tt300 has the hands free option via blue tooth are talkin out their bhind unless they some how took the insides out of the 500 and put it in the 300 very pointless
