Avoid roads

I've noticed that many reviews of TomTom feature an "avoid road" feature. The same can be seen on TomTom's own site (see http://www.tomtom.com/products/platform/products.php?ID=31&Language=1). However I've never been able to find it on my copy (version 2.24); I can find "Avoid Area", but that's not the same.
Anyone help?

Plan a route then from within Navigator tap the screen, you should find the 'Alterntive Route' option here which allows you to force TTNav to avoid a road, the options will change dependent on your current route and will allow. In this way you can tell it to avoid the road you are on for x miles which is handy if you know traffic is bad ahead or avoid a road altogether.
