Hi
Is it possible to avoid a point on a route? Using the recalculate route avoiding section seems to only let you avoid a whole road so if you were travelling along the A303, for example, it would avoid th ewhole A303 whereas you might just want to avoid one small part of due to an accident/roadworks etc. You could use the roadblock bit but you have to know exactly how far away you are from the blockage (ie 3miles).
Is there another way?
Cheers

Thanks Lost_Property, but doesn't that imply that I already know an alternative route? I may know where a problem is, but not necessarily know the best way around.
However, I shall keep your suggestion handy for those instances when I do!!

What version of TTN are you useing?? In TTN3 you can draw out "Avoid area" boxes which can be as large or small (down to a single carriagway on a motor way)as you want .( This feature may have beeen removed from TTN5 in the name of progress ) This should let you filter out sections of road but you would have to guess as to the actual distance you would want to avoid..Thats as good as it gets I'm afraid

Thanks Oddsock that's exactly the sort of thing I wanted but I, in my infinite wisdom, am using the 'far superior' TTN5.

This applies to anything you try.
Eh, but hopefully evryone in front will have a Sat Nav and be re-routed and you'll end up with an empty road. :P _________________ Formerly known as Lost_Property
