I've got an iPAQ HW6515 and a GB tomtom map sd card
It auto installs tomtom navigator 5 but when i try to configure my gps settings, under "specify your gps device" my device is not one of the options on the list, instead i can only choose from tomtom wireless device, other bluetooth gps, tomtom cable gps.

i have chosen tomtom wireless device but i can't get a gps signal.

before i got the sd card, i had a free map, and could get a gps signal, but after the auto install it seems to not work as perhaps it doesn't have the right file to recognise my ipaq

is there a file i can copy onto my sd card that will give me my device as an option. any help will be really appreciated as it is really getting me annoyed!!

thanks

could be abit more clear about what you mean by a free map installed if its a cracked version you have then we can't help sorry (im only suggesting its not a full version by the term "I had a free map installed"I'm sorry if this is not the case)

opps just reread it the joys of being mobile forget what's above from memory it think you need other nema wired receiver then one of the options there at you not using a bt gps but the in bulit one at a baud rate of 4800 if the option is there try sp2 or use something like gpsveiwer to find the comport to use

Hi,

Thanks for taking the time to help me. I really appreciate it.

The ipaq hw6515 comes with a free download of 1 tomtom map when you first connect the unit up. The map is only a city map and therefore pretty small and useless when you need to travel further around gb.

I bought a tomtom sd card with the full gb map

i have tried selecting baud 4800 but still no joy with signal.

what are sp2 and gpsveiwer? please can you tell me where to get hold of this
