TOMTOM MAPS

I've recently changed jobs from being a truck driver to a cabbie in Leeds..now the problem i'm having is the maps arent very up to date, i'm running the most up-to-date software, but it's still not really good enough, does anyone have any ideas as to when TomTom are going to update the mapping side of things please?

How do you check you have the latest map version?

If you tap the sat bar graph at the bottom of the TT screen, and then tap where it shows the Version number, you will get a list of all the TT related info, including Map Version.

Map Versions vary as to what type of Map it is: single country, Plus Map or Western Europe. I believe the latest Maps are 605, but how much more detail there is compared to a 571 Map I don't know.

hi guys, thanks for the replies!! i have just checked my map version and it says 562, now you guys obviously have newer versions than me, so how would i go about updating to the newest version please? i have checked the tomtom website but find it a pain to navigate to search...cheers and best regards

Goto the TomTom website then choose Plus Services from the menus and then choose Maps. They are available to purchase from there.

Note: Just because a map is new does NOT necessarily mean it will have all the latest roads on it. Compiling a digital map can take a long time so they will always be out of date to some extent.

If you purchase the new map is it upgradeable for x amount of time or do you have to fork out another £40 for the next update. I to have ver 562 and the ttn5 is a new purchase and knowing my luck i will get the latest and then they will release a new one 2 days after
