My road, which has existed for at least 4 years, is not found by my system despite apparently having the latest mapping software. Have been trying to get a decent response from Navman but they appear to be (deliberately) missing the point advising that updated software will be available from Navman Stores in the summer. Personally I feel this is a great device but feel let down that the mapping can apparently be so out-of-date. Does anybody know if there is recourse to Navman for a free update? |

Yes, Navman can be deliberately obtuse sometimes. They do, however, ask to be advised of bad mapping - give them all the details. Navman uses TeleAtlas mapping and its a fact that mapping is not up to date by the time you get it on your GPS device. I'm told that the Navteq maps used on other devices is more up to date but you get what you pay for. What version of software/mapping have you got on your 520 - I presume its the latest 3.5.
I would be interested to hear exactly what they said about new software being available in the summer of 2006 as its only relatively recently that the latest was brought out.
As to you getting a free update - forget it

What exactly should be included in "all the details" required by Navman? |

Well, I suggest the name of the road, town and postcode should be adequate. Perhaps give them the coordinates at the entrance to the road. What happens when you look for it on your Navman at home Is it just a field _________________ Gee-Pee

Yes, it is just a field. To be fair it is a new road however it has managed to get another section of new road in the maps I have. Maybe its just your "donald duck" |
