Has anyone found a problem with entering addresses of small villages with no street names?
For example the Address: 20 Warkton, Northamptonshire - As there is no street name my nuvi can't find or direct me to the place. Besides knowing the postcode of everywhere I want to go, does anybody know a way around this problem?
Confused

The Royal Mail database (online at www.RoyalMail.co.uk) only brings up to addresses similar to yours

20 Warkton Way
CORBY
NN17 2QR

and

20 Warkton Lane
Barton Seagrave
KETTERING
NN15 5AA

So - at best - your Nuvi (or any other GPS) will only be able to bring up these details

You don't need a post code, you simply enter the TOWN in place of the postcode. A County isn't acceptable, but for most of us, most of the time, we would know either postcode or post town

Alternatively, if you don't know the TOWN you can select SEARCH ALL and enter house number and street name; the Nuvi will then bring up all the addresses which match (in this case 20 Warkton Lane, Barton Seagrave, Northant)

The Nuvi only locates one of these. Perhaps the other is very new? Remember GPS maps released to us consumers are often 18 months old by the time we use them, although the Nuvi's are the latest available anywhere

I don't know if any of these are the addresses you wish to find, but if all else fails, I simply ask the person I am visiting for the nearest "next street" name, which Nuvi finds, without fail

Hope this helps...?
