| I recently got hold of some USA maps and I cannot get TOMTOM to recognise them, I also got hold of some France Maps and it recognised them fine. I have checked for hidden files etc and restrated my XDA but when I copy the maps to my SD card TOMTOM just doesn't recognise the USA ones. |

Do you have activation codes, or are you saing that the US maps aren't even listed when you try to change maps?

| I had some USA maps, they would only work on TomTom 5.00, so when I went to Florida I removed TT5.1, installed 5.0 and never got lost!! |

| When you say "got hold of" what do you actually mean? Bought a legitimate copy of? Or something else? |

| I've got the opposite issue, my US maps work but I can't get TT5 to see the France map, even though it's on the SD card :-( |
