thanks but i tryed that it don't work because i got 2003 on it, i get a error message

it's what I got on there at the moment but I am trying to put it ROM version 1.20

the error message rather suggests that you are trying to apply a 3870 image, or a 3950 image. Are you absolutely certain you downloaded the correct ROM for your device?

yes i got it off the link you send, it says rom image 3800 series

That is rather strange. I'd call HP support. A downgrade should always be possible.

I think he has applied the image for the iPaq 3870 2003 image which is why he is getting the error message.

Are you getting a "bluetooth not initialised message" on booting the iPaq up?
