Garmin i3 speed camera warnings

Firstly I would like to apologise if this has already been covered.
I have recently purchased an i3 and uploaded the poi speed cameras to it.
I notice that it does not notify you of the speed cameras if you are using a Where to Setting, ie going to Somewehere.
I can only get the Speed cameras to work using the View Map Setting, Am i doing something wrong or is this the way it's supposed to work

It does but only if you are speeding. ie if you approach a 30 mph camera at 25 mph it won't alert you but approach the same camera at 35 mph and it will...
