TomTom Go queries

Hi

I'm new here and would appreciate guidance. My dad has a TomTom Go system (the original before 300/500/700 was introduced) it is using application version 5.201. At the moment he has just the GB SD but wants the Western Europe maps, how does he go about this? Will this system run a later version of the software?

Any information you can offer will be appreciated.

Is he running the latest sware for his Classic or can he upgrade to 5.4**?

Will the Classic accept a larger SD Card than 256Mb? Are there any compatibility issues with third party cards?
