OK, sorry if I'm being completely numptie and either asking stupid question and/or posting in wrong place.....

But I have a Bluemedia/Evesham 6380 with UK & Europe mapping.

No complaints really - does what I want.

But, scheduled to go on hols to Florida in April....can I get Navteq maps to use on this...?? If so, where and how much...?

Last question will be how do I load them but I'll save that for later.... Wink

We go to Florida September too, and could do with maps of the area for our trip to put on my Acer N35 running Destinator 3.

Will watch too see what replies you get with interest. Question

@Steve
You could get this package:
http://www.buygpsnow.com/item.aspx?itemid=446
Gives you North America maps and upgrades your software to PN.
(you can still use your D3 Europe maps with PN)

@Chris
What Destinator version is running on your device?

Chris, thanks for that, I am just loathe to splash out $100+ for maps that I will only use for two weeks and then not again for a good long while. I am quite happy with Destinator 3 too, which I only had for a few weeks supplied with my Acer before Destinator decided to release PN, never mind , I will just rely on signposts and my extraordinary sense of direction Smile

The maps from PN should work with ND.
(but have read about people having problems)
You can give it a try.

if you're only there for less than 9 days you could use the trial version of Mapopolis. http://www.mapopolis.com/ I haven't used it and I haven't researched it in any great depth but if you just want to get about it might do the trick. The maps are fully functional trials for 9 days from download.

Hmm...nice idea...but will be in florida for 20 days...!!

To be honest its mainly in areas that I know so I think I'll just be multimapping prior to departure... Sad

Yeah but if you only want Orange FL map I think it says its $19 (although I might need to check that) so its cheap enough.

Having said that if you're based around the International Drive area (which most holiday hotels are) there are signposts to most attractions. I was there doing an exhibition recently. I did have to head into the town centre for some cables. Could have done with it then but otherwise its simple enough. And they give you free maps (paper ones apparently, like people had in during the George Washington years Smile ) so you could rediscover the joys of arguing with the other half. Try it, you'd be amazed how much fun it can be. Especially with some kids thrown in for good measure! Laughing Out Loud

HI Jimbo

Thanks for input!

We're flying into Orlando, travel down to Longboat Key (3rd visit there- great place!), then up to Jacksonville to visit friends, then back to Orlando.....
