TomTom 5 rotated screen on Medion PNA100

Excuse the silly new kid question , but I have a Medion PNA100 which I've installed TomTom 5 onto. TomTom has an option to rotate the screen to landscape view, if I mounted the PNA100 sideways to have this view, would the integrated aerial still work properly, or does the aerial need to point upwards??

As a side note, I can confirm that the Medion PNA100 works when mounted on a Ford quickclear heated windscreen with no trouble finding reception. My dad wasn't sure whether it would work through the quickclear screen, because its been said that the signal wouldn't go through a heated or coated glass. So we setup the Medion in the car, and away we went with no problems.
