Blue screen of death !!!!!

I plugged my SD card into my laptop and got the Blue screen of death (Windows XP). The card is the same size as the slot in the laptop and the laptop labels the slot as "SD" so why the Blue screen ?

Nothing to do with the card, I suspect. Is the fault repeatable using other SD cards?
