Does my700 suffer from confusion

Can anyone put any light on this queery..I have a TomTom 700 and a Nokia 6230i..which plays mp3's....here's the problem....
1.The phone connects to bluetooth on the 700 no brobs there.
2.If I decide to play mp3's on my phone it will ask if I want to play via
bluetooth, if I highlight "yes" on the phone (me thinking it will play via the TomTom) it then tells me to "disconnect the TomTom first".
3.!s my phone (or TomTom) telling lies or do I need to take some asprin has anyone else noticed this.

In order to play audio from the 6230, you need to have a bluetooth audio gateway. A bluetooth headset can act as an audio gateway, but I'm guessing the TT doesn't support the audio gateway feature
