Toshiba E740 BT Problems with CF GPS

Hi, does anyone know if the toshiba e740 works with any compact flash gps. I have a TFAC CF GPS which works fine with my toshiba e550, but does not work with my Toshiba e740 BT. The e740 can recognise the GPS reciever and can communicate with GPS, but does not pick up any satellites. I tried by turning off the bluetooth & turning off the beam, but does not make any affect. I am using tomtom navigator 2. Has anyone got any solutions ?

I think I'm right in saying that the e740 is known for putting out a rather large amount of electronic noise - sufficient to disrupt the operation of many CompactFlash GPSes.



I have a similar problem with a laptop - if I move an operating GPS nearby, or, even worse, switch a CF GPS from my iPAQ to that laptop, the number of satellites received can drop easily from 8 to 2!





What would be an interesting test would be to get some kind of display from the GPS operating in the e550 (using something like WinFast Navigator) - then move the switched on e740 next to the GPS and see what happens.
