I am looking at buying a 60CSX. The retailer I phoned has given me an option of two. Either an EU model or an international one with the US basemap. The difference is £50. He says the international one will come with a basemap the same as the EU model but installed on the mini flash card. Is there any disadvantage of getting the International one that I am missing.

Thanks.

Bob.

Bob
I bought one a couple of weeks ago, sounds like the same place in Leeds?
I decided on spending the extra as I have no plans to go to the States.
If you go for the EU map on the memory card it will take up space that is used for waypoints, routes, tracks etc.
Larger cards are relatively cheap (£25ish for a 512Mb but I cant get my PC to read the card from a card reader so Im not sure how you would copy the EU basemap from card to card.
Incidentally Im very impressed with the unit.
Reception is unbelivable, see my comments elswhere, and I have since used it outdoors. Stick it in a pocket or inside a rucsac with no problems. Such a change from my Etrex Vista.
Screen is very clear and controls are fine with gloves on.
Still running on the rechargeables I put in when I got it so I guess its run for a good 20 hours at least despite using it last weekend in temps about -8C
Hope this helps
