Autoroute 2006

I have autoroute 2006 and notice it has GPS compatibility. How do I use autoroute with my Navman 510?

The GPS panel in autoroute has a CONFIGURE GPS button and on selecting this a pop up appears. It asks if my gps unit is NMEA 2.0 compatible and I believe it is?

So how do I get the navman and autoroute together and what are the benefits of so doing?

I don’t think you can. Unless you unlock your 510 and find a way of installing it on your 510 as a stand alone PDA.
Its purpose is that you can run auto route on a laptop and use a GPS receiver with the laptop.
If you have a PDA and a receiver you can rum pocket streets that comes with it.

I agree with DRPs comments. I don't think you can do what you want. In addition, you can just connect an antenna to your 'laptop'(?) - presume that is what you have - via a USB connection and use it to track your route etc...
