Use of my UK i3 in the USA or Canada - what do I need to do?

To use a UK i3 in the USA or Canada, is it only necessary to purchase the relevant maps on a new SD card and replace the card with the UK maps? Does the firmware also need changing? Does anything else need doing?

all you need to do is to get a blank micro sd card, obtain city select north america/canada or metroguide usa v4.01 and load the releavt mapping onto the card....the firmware does not have to be changed..
