Hi,
Firstly thanks for a great forum. I have read it to my eyes hurt since getting my new A201. While there has been much useful help I still cannot get TomTom to install correctly.
As it is running WM5 I have downloaded and installed 5.21 from the tomtom webiste. This installs and allows me to go through the set up of left / right handed etc. I can then select a voice and the test button works. I then get a no maps found screen with just a cancel button to select.
Now when I try and start TomTom again it starts to load, the screen flickers and it dumps me back to the today screen.
I have tried copying the Bin files to the PDA and instlling from there with no success.
Can someone tell me if 5.21 of TomTom still needs the CurrentMap.dat file in my documents. I have tried seting this up but it makes no difference. The install for TomTom does not however create any directories or files in the My Docs folder.
Any help greatly appreciated. I know it has been posted that the A201 is not compatible with TomTom but I know people who have it working!
Thanks in advance

Further to the above:
After I managed to select a voice it used toi hang the PDA. Then I installed another map on the memory card. This led to me having a screen asking me to select a map - on selecting either map it hangs now.
Any advice really apreciated - starting to do my nut!

Go to "program files"->"navigator" and delete the Navigator.cfg file. When activating for the first time, do the manual activation and input 0 as your activation code, because the first device ID it gives you is incorrect. It will not accept it and will give you a different device code which is correct. Get your activation code from www.ttcode.com |
