Holux 210

I have a Holux 210 I run on my laptop with windows pro

when I try to use it in my motorhome with a desk top and windows 98se it won't find it. I don't remember how I installed it on my laptop. I have 2 cd's one says tools

the orher was a copy or a driver on a blank cdr. Did I loose something We were going on a trip right after the first install and can't rember how many disks they sent me. The place I bought it from (March 2003) no longer caries the Holux and refers me to somewhere else and they won't return my calls

We will be getting a Holux GM-210 shortly. Failing that, there might be some other Holux users that can reply in the mean time and get you up and running, or you can contact Holux UK who should be able to help. We hope to get our's in the next few days.

Interestingly, that page also has a download copy of SiRFdemo 3.40, for all the inveterate tweakers out there. It's the first time I've seen a copy of 3.40 available from a GPS manufacturer.



Be aware, though, that SiRFdemo is not for those who don't understand what it can do. Unlike WinFast Navigator and similar, you can lock yourself out of your GPS if you change some of the settings that program allows you to change (particularly the UART ones).
