Just noticed the following:-
eBay Link
A little strange that they are not available, and the price £310 seems VERY low.... |

Its a pity the full page isnt in English, for all I know it might say at the bottom , you are bidding ona picture of a unit and not the actual unit itself.
Dont think I would buy one on there any ways to be honest No idea what its going to be like!
Not the product its self as the new range looks WOW just the persons selling etc _________________ TomTom 300

Hmm. On ebay UK, but with partially italian text, from a seller registered in Germany? At least the page is genuine (accessible from manual search in ebay). Let's see what TomTom is saying to that. _________________ Lutz

Translation of text at bottom of page -
It reimburses to you within 10 days - the purchaser has the right to give back the object within 10 days after the reception. The purchaser can enjoy rights added at a distance to you based on established how much from the Norm on the sales. Ulterior information on the rules on the restitution. |

I see 2 people have supposedly bought the 910, I say supposedly because if you look at the 2 peoples feedback page, they have never bought or sold anything before. Also it is only a 3 day sale which means you should not see any feedback from these people as they will not recieve their 910 (if at all) before the sale has ended. Very dodgy indeed. _________________ TomTom Go 910 (3) v.6.522 Map Western Europe v.650 with useless TMC receiver

UPDATE:
Third person supposed to have bought a 910, guess what they also have never bought or sold anything on ebay.
You can not pay using Paypal, which means you have no chance of getting your money back. It does say Standard Purchase Protection but this only cover a maximum of £120. I WOULD KEEP WELL AWAY. _________________ TomTom Go 910 (3) v.6.522 Map Western Europe v.650 with useless TMC receiver

Very dodgy indeed. | I used a scratch account to be number 2 on the list. The ad says the product is in London (yup, a German seller, Italian page language and product is in London!) so I sent the seller a message that I am also in London and will pay him in cash :-).
The German seller looks genuine from his history and feedback so if anything is wrong I am guessing someone hacked his ID and diverted the email, but let's see what happens.
No, I will NOT be offering to wire money to Italy or anywhere else.

They usually get to the bottom of such things.
Besides, I would hate to think that someone would get their hands on one before us!! |
