Can anyone advise. I am trying to copy TT5 from the supplied SD card onto a larger SD card via my PC so that I can add other TT maps; all on one SD card. I am using a Dazzle card reader but only about 3MB is copied onto the PC folder. When copying I get the following and the copy process stops. If I copy each folder individually I gat about 8MB.

'Cannot copy DATA04: the parameter is incorrect'

Sometimes it does the same with a file called 'munich.bin'.

Thanks

Sorry about that Oldboy (sic), a case of fat fingers! However I think I have a found a way around the backup problem.

I inserted the spare SD into my card reader and then copyied in explorer from the PDA storage card direct to the spare SD card. I had to copy each folder individually and all seems to copy except the files in 'Voices'.

However when I inserted the spare SD card in place of TT original the TT program would not recognise any maps. Any ideas?

Use the "show hidden files" option in windows file explorer (its in tools menu) to make sure you copy all the files to the PC then copy the lot back accross to the new card - Mike

I enabled the 'show hidden files' option but to no effect. It failed to copy.

So as per my earlier post I resorted to copying from the SD in the PDA via activesync direct to the new SD card in the card reader. This appeared to work so long as I copied each folder one at a time.

So I do now appear to have everything copied but when I use the 'new' SD card TT says it cannot find any maps?

I copied TT5 from the supplied card to a 256MB card successfully. This is what I did:

- put the supplied TT5 SD Card (128MB) into my HP Printer card reader slot (a dedicated card reader would do the same)
- make sure hidden files are viewable under folder options in windows
- selected all the folders and copied to my pc (anywhere would do)
- took out the TT5 SD card and replaced with bigger card (in my case 256MB) into the printer card reader
- copied the folders from my PC onto the new card
- made sure TT5 wasn't running on PDA, put new SD card in
- switched on started TT5 - found it couldn't find maps/destinations properly [not sure you need to replicate this step!]
- switched off PDA (did not exit TT5), and did a reset (on my PDA, stylus into small depression on bottom)
- restarted TT5, this time maps, locations ,etc all recognised!

Thanks, IOw.
This worked for everything except the .chk and.vif voice files. I then copied each file .chk and .vif file individually and managed to get data 04.chk across but 04.vif, 05.chk and 05.vif would not copy across!!

Very odd. So almost there but voiceless.
