THIS HAS ALREADY BEEN ASKED IN THE SUBSCIBERS FORUM BUT WONDERED WHAT THE REST OF YOU PEEPS HAVE TO SAY OR SUGGEST.
I bought a genuine, sealed and brand new Iberia Plus map which came on a 256Mb SD card which says it's good for the Go series, One, Rider & Navigator 5 models which just plugged & go'd in my 300 with no trouble at all.
I copied this (c/w all hidden files etc) to a 512Mb card so I could add loads of POI's/voices etc and tried it in my wifes ONE and it asked for an activation code!
Surely this should just plug & go the same as the original as it is a direct copy?
I know all about licences etc but why can't I physically use this copy in my wifes unit? |

I see the question has already been answered. And as this is querying copy protection and the licence permits use on only one device I would ask that you abide by that and don't discuss breach of copy protection/licence here. _________________ Darren Griffin |

The Activation Code is a Product of the Device Code and the Map Product Code.
Changing the Device means that the Device Code no longer matches. This is the TomTom method of ONE Product for ONE Device.;) _________________ Richard
