Hi to all, I've purchased an ipaq3950 with jacket dual slot CF, 512 Mb ram CF and GPS receiver HICOM 303CF.
In GPS mode only, the speed in Km/h are normaly 5 Km less then the indication of all speed-ometer in a cars.
When I try to use with Tom Tom 2 the system "stall" or "sleep" and I can't use it!
In other forum (HP) the replies are "downgrade the rom bios to version 1.00 !!".
It's correct?
There is no other chance?
Many Thanks.

I'm not surprised at your speed conclusion. It certainly is the case in the UK, and, I believe, in the rest of the European Union, that car speedometers cannot indicate a speed less than the true speed, but can indiate a speed of up to 10% more than the true speed.
As a result, at a true speed of 50mph, my Vauxhall Zafira's speedometer is showing around 54mph.
The GPS is more accurate than your car's speedometer. If you want to see the previous thread on this - look here.
The problem with sleep I don't quite understand. Is the problem that your system is powering down, even with external power applied?
The advice to downgrade the ROM of your iPAQ is largely to do with slow SD memory performance. CF card performance should be fine with the 1.11 ROM. Hopefully HP have got fixed SD memory drivers into the Pocket PC 2003 ROMs - though I won't know until the upgrade kits become available for purchase.

Sorry David for "sleep". The system don't powering down.
For this it's ok.
Simply I'm waiting a lot of time whitout any response. I think there is a situation like a "data conflict" through 2 compact flash device or software / driver (HICOM & TT2).
Thanks.
