Help please using the @ symbol spv c500

Ive just had a e mail from tomtom saying my traffic log on user name has now changed to my e mail address. The trouble is when trying to activate my traffic i cant find how to enter the @ symbol on the phone theres no option for any symbols when youre on the log on screen can anyone help

try pressing and holding the * key,this usually brings up the symbols screen.

on my qtek8010 the '@' found by tapping the '1' 6 times
