I am looking for some help in transfering the back up of my original tt go 300 sd card to a 512mb SanDisk, I have tried in vain over the last few days and still no joy, when I format the new card using my TomTom and transfer all the files I get a red cross through the card on the display, I have enabled the show hidden folders and files, once I open the properties of the new card it shows that only 10mb has been transferred whereas the original card has 117mb of information. Once I have formatted the new card the computer picks up TomTom as TomTom and not a removable disk on my(E) drive and it shows the same icons and folders as the original card but something must be missing, when I put the original back into TomTom and switch it on it works but when I put in the SanDisk memory card it's rejected every time.

I have looked through posts on this forum and tried them all but still no joy, any help would be appreciated. Confused

First - have you backup up the orginal SD card - create a directory on your harddive, then select all the files and folders on your TomTom to this new folder. How big is this folder - should be 117M - if not there is a problem.

Now burn this off to CD/DVD.

Now put in the new SD card and drag all the files/folders out of the new directory into the root of the directory of the new SD card.
