PDA/GPS and AGPS Question

Newbie here so apologies in advance.

1) First, I'm thinking of getting an HP HW6515 PDA phone, with its assisted GPS, can I still find my position in areas where I don't have cell phone service? I don't really need navigation, finding my position using Pocket Streets is good enough for me.

2) Can I use the phone as a bluetooth GPS receiver relaying my coordinates to my laptop using the bluetooth connection?

1) yes, it will just take longer to get a fix

2) no, that is not possible, unless you use some very weird combination of GPSGate and low level TCP/IP programming
