Speed camera POI updates

Hi! This may seem a very basic (stupid?) question, but I've successfully set up the speed camera POIs on my Ipaq 2210, but how do I know when an update is available.
Do TomTom inform us or is there a link on their website? I reported a new camera recently so how do I check if that's been added?

Hi there, I am wondering have you set up the service from tomtom (and paid for this) or the database from Pocket GPS (which is free!!!)

OK, I'm a right mug for not knowing about the freebie camera database. I confess to not using the site that much - more fool me!
Now if I want to download this, do I have to unistall the TomTom database first.
I'm not very computer literate, and don't want to spoil things now that I've got evrything working ok!

I have never used the expensive TomTom camera database, so you're the expert in that field! Thumbs Up

Is it a single POI or a number of POIs?

I belive that you can use the PocketGPSWorld camera database with the TomTom one. You may use up a few extra POI categories doing so though.

For further information on the PocketGPSWorld camera database, please read the following guides (in order):

The beginner’s guide to the PocketGPSWorld camera database.
This explains about the different camera types and about categories and subcategories, so that you can decide how you want the database on your unit.

Depending on whether you have TomTom Navigator on a Pocket PC or TomTom GO, please read either:

This guide explains how to load the PocketGPSWorld camera database onto a Pocket PC running TomTom Navigator 5.

How to install (camera database) POIs onto a TomTom GO.

The above guides may look lengthy and complicated when first seen. However if you grab a cup of coffee and read each one thoroughly then they should make sense as they have been written in a step-by-step way, for ease of reading.
