I just got my Upgrade from TT3 to TT 5 and thought I might wait to load it until I get a new pda for Xmas. Is it a stand alone package that will install on it's own or will it only go over TT3 on my existing pda?
Anyone know?

Yes you can install it directly to a new PDA. Some users advocate un-installing TTN3 before installing TTN5. _________________ Richard

Yes, standalone. I know, I’ve tried it. _________________ Tomtom Go 720.

Thanks Guys.
If I put it on my existing one can I still put it on my new pda when I get it? The code / activation thing seem pretty tight and I don't want to be stuck with it on a pda I don't plan on keeping for too long. I was told it was not possible to have activated more than once which seems odd; what if I lost my pda or it broke and I want to put it on a new one in the future?
Excuse me for being dense. Perhaps Tom Tom want you to believe you have to buy it again? as this is what their support said.
thanks again

You can re-activate after 7 days I believe, and thereafter 6 months, for precisely the reason you gave. _________________ Richard
