Error Message: No map found on this device

My iPaq1710 system has been working fine for weeks. Today, it suddenly gives me an error message of "No map found on this device" whenever I try to fire up the software.

Now that I'm back home, I have expored the SD card and all my maps are still present.

Has anyone any idea what can be going wrong and how to fix it?

I may be answering my own question here, but at least it will help anyone else who gets the same problem. I am never a fan of going for the rest button when I don't know what caused the fault, however, I performed a soft reset of the PDA and when I fired up the software, It "saw" my maps and asked me which one to load. Then it worked a treat.

I am wondering if this is related to the other recent topic re the safety camera database. I too loaded the new safety camera database 2 days ago. First, the POI alerts for all the camera types had switched themselves off and had to be reactivated. Secondly, I get these problems today. Maybe there is a link, maybe not, but I thought I would report it on the forum all the same.
