Tom Tom 300 Camera Database

My Daughter has bought a TomTom 300 and does not use a computer (works & lives away from home) so is unable to download the camera database. I have made a backup from her TomTom and would like to get the latest camera information on to the backup but do not know which file I have to put in in.

They should tell you everything you need to know.
Basically you need .ov2 data files and the matching .bmp icon picture files, and put those (individually) into the "Great_Britain-Map" folder.

Which set of files you use is up to you, depending on whether you want a simple all-in-one "there's a camera of some sort ahead" solution, or if you want to know what speed limit the camera is set to, whether it's a likely mobile camera site or a traffic light camera etc.

If you only want the all-in-one you just need:
pocketgps_uk_sc.ov2 and
pocketgps_uk_sc.bmp
from the "single file version" folder in the download package.

Most people, however, seem to want the speed-zoned gatso and mobile cameras, and single redlight, temporary and specs files; which means you need:
pocketgps_uk_gatso_20.ov2
pocketgps_uk_gatso_30.ov2
pocketgps_uk_gatso_40.ov2
pocketgps_uk_gatso_50.ov2
pocketgps_uk_gatso_60.ov2
pocketgps_uk_gatso_70.ov2
pocketgps_uk_gatso_tba.ov2
pocketgps_uk_gatso_var.ov2
pocketgps_uk_mobile_20.ov2
pocketgps_uk_mobile_30.ov2
pocketgps_uk_mobile_40.ov2
pocketgps_uk_mobile_50.ov2
pocketgps_uk_mobile_60.ov2
pocketgps_uk_mobile_70.ov2
pocketgps_uk_mobile_tba.ov2

(and the matching .bmp files) from the "speed zoned" folder, and:

pocketgps_uk_redlight.ov2
pocketgps_uk_specs.ov2
pocketgps_uk_temp.ov2

(and the matching .bmp files) from the "ov2 bmp files" folder.

There are several other combiations, but this should be ample.

All these go into the "Great_Britain-Map" folder on the Go's SD card.
and they then need to be enabled on the Go itself in the "set preferences"/"manage POI" menu.
