Tomtom 5 loses favourites when re-started

Has anybody come across a problem where Tomtom5 loses it's previously set favourites whenever the application is started including HOME destination?

It keeps its POIs but if they are set to warn alerts such as speed cameras, then whenever it is restarted it forgets all about alerting by sound although all POIs are still there, it just forgets that you wanted the alerts to be audible. I then have to check each box for the cameras I want audibles for and set an appropriate sound. This stays fine for as long as I keep TT5 running but if I switch off inbetween, It goes all amnesic.

Does this mean that some of the data is in the wrong directories or something?

Any help would be appreciated

Many Many thanks Oldboy, you've solved the problem!! I copied the files, changed the attributes to not read only and copied them back. It worked straight away.
