Is it possible to install TTN5 in its entirety to a compact flash card?
If it is, brief help would be appreciated! |

yes, that is possible (with one, two tiny exceptions)
-Install TTN5 normally.
-Move the application folder to the CF card
- in \Windows\Start Menu\Programs remove the existing shortcut and create a new one from the CF location
Exceptions:
1) the folder \My Documents\TomTom must exist and contain a CurrentMap.Dat file . What you can do is back this folder up to the CF card and restore if necessary
2) the folder \TomTom\SdkRegistry is used for custom menus etc. This can''t be moved to cF either, but again you can back it up and restore if necessary. _________________ Lutz

Hi,
I've recently started getting 'Program memory low' errors causing TTN5 to shut down. I assume that I may be able to prevent this by moving the app to my CF card.
I have followed the instructions in this thread and am not sure whether I should also remove the TTN program from RAM - seems logical but am nervous in case it all goes pear shaped then as it so often has in the past when I mess around with things.
Also - will I have to reinstall CheckPOInt to get it to link correctly??
Best
