hello all, newbie here and I've been looking to get TTM 5 for a short while now.
Basically I want it today!!! However I'll soon be getting another phone which I would want to use for my sat nav needs.
I've searched but I can't get a definitive answer, is it easy to move the product between phones, since most people change phones annually and sometimes sooner I hope it's an easy thing to do.
As I've mentioned I am new to this although have done a fair bit of research so although I get the top line info I'm not too sure about the tomtom systems as such. Thanks in advancd for any help.

On initial purchase you get one activation. Then, after 7 days, you can activate on a second device. And then on one other device every half year. _________________ Lutz

ta for the quick response. how do you activate? is it a lengthy drawn out process with tomtom themselves or is it done easily?

hi
activating is relatively easy
you can do it on the web or via phone gprs connection
more importantly you dont mention any phone types
tt mobile 5 is supplied on various cards to suit the phone you have
i am led to believe that on the nokia type phones there are two or three diferent symbian systems whic are not compatible with each other ( i have spv c500) so i dont have any experiance of them
it would be worth telling what phone you have and are thinking of getting as the guys onf these forums will be able to tell you if the version of tt mobile will be transferable betweeen them with out extra cost
hope this helps

If you upgraded your phone to a different type could you get TomTom to exchange the software to work with the new phone?
I don't see why you should have to buy the entire package again, as you already own a licence to TomTom Mobile. |

sorry I'll either have 2 nokia 6680's or a 6680 and N70 not yet too sure. both are series 60 so should be the same.
Am I correct in saying that you wouldn't be able to activate on 3 network because of the "walled garden" internet access?

You can just use your PC instead. |
