I have a Jornada 568 running TomTom Navigator 5 with a Polestar GPS receiver. My problem is that the voice instructions are around 800 meters behind my actual loaction and sometimes the voice instructions have delays between words of the same command string. As a result I often miss important road exits. Can anyone help rectify the problem?

are you using cf or the mmc card battery pack as the jornada is very low powered by todays standards it could be slow reading the cf or sd card ive lost my cf gps a while ago and havent bothered to run nav on the jornada for a while from memory it you have anything else runnign on the device then that will affect it other than that take a back up of the card and format it to see if that helps if that doesnt work im afraid its live with it or update to a newer ppc

knowing my luck some bright spark might have a way to get it to work
