Hi finally got my NZ maps for the PIN 570 and should be with me by Thursday (fingers crossed), I do not have a card reader, just a PC. Is this a problem?, if not could somebody explain how I get the maps onto a new SD card.

Thanks in advance...........

Hi Bluenose66,

Without a Card reader/writer you may find transfering maps quite time consuming. However it is possible.

You will need to install ActiveSync on to your PC (if you haven't done so already) and connect your PiN 570 with new SD card inserted.

Load up the Navman software on your PC (this again may need to be installed from the CD's in the PiN package if you haven't done so already). Once this has loaded you should see a map of the world. Click on the map you wish to install.

The software should ask you to insert CD's and enter the activation codes supplied with your new maps.

On the right of the Navman Map installer window you should see a number of locations to install the maps. Make sure you select the SD card within the PiN device. As mentioned above this will take a while to transfer.

If you are still struggling, Navman have a dedicated technical support line and I'm sure they will be able to help on 01293 780500

You could look at investing in a Card reader/writer especially if you are looking to move maps in the future.
